About
Hi, I'm Ugur Turkarslan — a cloud architect who learns best by building. This blog exists for one reason: I want to learn random corners of IT hands-on, and share what I find with anyone curious enough to read it. Every post ships with a runnable lab in the labs repository — clone it, break it, learn it.
What I keep circling back to:
- Everyday security — practical habits so normal people can use digital tools without getting burned.
- Cloud security — the server-side stuff that actually hurts: data leaks, RCEs, misconfigurations.
- DevOps & GitOps — the delivery pipelines and operational plumbing that keep deployments honest, and what happens when they break.
- Opensource tooling — the good free stuff in security, devops, AI, and observability that deserves more eyes.
- Local AI — opensource models you can run on your own hardware at home to get real work done.
Underneath all of it: I hope this helps make someone's life a little easier or safer. That's the whole point.
How this blog is made
Posts and labs here are produced with substantial AI assistance and reviewed by me before publishing. If you spot an error, open an issue on the relevant repository — I read all of them.
